Privacy Policy
Short version: this is a static information site, there is nothing to sign up for, and we hold no personal data about readers. The rest of this page explains the technical detail behind that claim.
What we do not collect
No accounts, no login forms, no newsletters, no payment forms, no contact forms that store submissions. We do not ask for your name, number, address, date of birth, payment details or documents, and we would have nowhere to put them. We take no stakes and process no transactions, so financial data never reaches us at all.
Server logs
The web server records standard entries for each request: IP address, timestamp, page requested, status code, user-agent string. They exist to keep the site online and to identify abusive traffic such as scraping. They are not used to identify individuals, are not combined with other data, and are rotated and discarded after a short period.
Cookies
We set no advertising or tracking cookies. Pages are static, so your browser may cache files to load them faster — ordinary browser behaviour rather than data collection. Clearing the cache or blocking cookies costs you nothing on this site.
Resources loaded from elsewhere
Some pages load fonts, icons or script libraries from public content delivery networks. When your browser fetches such a file the provider receives the technical request data described above; that is how the web works and we have no access to their logs. If you follow an outbound link, that destination's own policy applies from the moment you arrive.
Analytics
Where aggregate traffic measurement is used it answers dull questions — which pages are read, which are ignored, whether something is broken on mobile. It is not used for advertising and we do not sell, rent or share traffic data.
Children
The site is for adults and the subject matter is unsuitable for minors. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has emailed us, tell us and we will delete the correspondence.
Your rights
With no account data held there is usually nothing to export or erase. If you have emailed us you can ask us to delete that correspondence and we will. Depending on where you live you may have further rights of access, correction, erasure or objection under local data protection law — write to us and we will respond in line with the law that applies to you.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection and holds no user database. That is not a security programme so much as an absence of anything worth attacking, which for a site like this is the more reliable arrangement.
Changes
If the setup changes — a new analytics tool, a different host — this page changes with it. The version here is current.
